Peonies in the Rain
6/18/10
Today was quite strange weather-wise. We had a series of rainstorms and short-lived yet intense hailstorm.
I braved the elements and shot these peonies on our porch while under an umbrella.
Here are a few pieces of hail.

It certainly was a different day weather-wise. I kinda liked it though.
Beautiful photo of the peonies.

I’m so glad that you braved the elements to snap this picture, Erica! It’s lovely. :) I love red, and the rain drops add a dimension that I just love.

First Strawberries
6/9/10
A couple days ago I sampled the first of our strawberries. They were juicy and sweet.
I can’t wait until we have enough to make shortcake, waffles, and much, much more!
How do you like to eat your strawberries?
Play
6/7/10
“Play” is this week’s challenge over at
I Heart Faces
.
On Easter Sunday, we had a delicious lunch at my Uncle Ken & Aunt Becky’s house. Afterwards the menfolk headed outdoors to play a game of Bocce Ball.
Here Uncle Glen is poised, ready for the throw.
To see many more lovely entries related to “play” head over to

I love seeing the big kids play! We played Bocce at the park on Memorial Day. We love that game!
Evening Light
6/4/10
Evening (about an hour before sunset) is my favorite time to take photos, be they landscapes or portraits.
The lighting makes everything glow.
Give it a try! I think you’ll love the results.
